I have been learning Russian for the past couple of months. I am taking a class that teaches us how to learn and analyze languages that are not necessarily written. Me and my partner meet with a lady who grew up in Moscow three times a week. Her name is Elena (she is in the pink shirt in the picture). We spent the first part of our time with her just learning to speak the language. The second part involves analyzing the phonology (how all the sounds of the language fit together)and grammar of Russian. Russian occupies most of my thoughts these days. Oj! Our teacher taught us a phrase "gˈdijɑ mijɑ ʒiˈzn" which means "where is my life?" It is very appropriate.Learning this process is very challenging for me! Russian is not a simple language but it has been a good experiance!
